I'm thinking along similar lines as well. But only after my shields are perfected.

My ideas for shielding is based purely on gravitational influences. It's well known, thanks to Einstein's general theory of relativity, that mass bends the fabric of space-time. Gravitational lensing is one of the effects of this. My idea is to produce a gravitational field that can 'bend' anything ...

My only soldiers armed with beam weapons are those not based on Earth. They carry triple-barrelled lasers, giving three beams of two megawatts.

Those lasers on my starships are not rated.

These nanites have gotten me thinking... If the nanites don't mind high temperatures, try very low temperatures. Liquid helium should do the trick on just about anything. Gravity-based weapons would probably work as well. If the nanites are now based on bacteria/virii, gamma and/or neutron radiation...
