As these are tests, you should show a wide range of skills, fundamentally, skills in description, scene setting, and dialogue. These posts should be *long*. They are also OOC unless you deside otherwise, so distort your nation as you see fit. Any info you can give me will help me create the other two scenarios.
Scenario 1: A neighbouring culture, until recently ultra-isolationist, has negotiated a deal in secret to claim the allegiance of your outlying peoples, essentially expanding their own sphere of influence to block you in. RP a diplomat visiting the leader of this new fraction of your state with the goal of coaxing them back into your nation.
No physical violence is allowed, but threats are - believable outcomes get a higher rating. And of course you can ask questions should anything need clarified.

From there they intend to strike back at these outlying worlds in a vast campaign. An informant has given you this plan and the details of the orbiting station and fleet, as well as the considerable ground contingent below. RP an armada sent to crush the pirate stronghold once and for all, as well as the ground battle as you land, and assault their central complex.
(There must be both an orbital and a ground battle. No vast orbital bombardment strike that single handedly wins you the battle, though smaller, more surgical strikes are allowed.
