Feazanthia develops subspace inhibitor

Post by Feazanthia »

While the device has yet to be field tested, Feazanthia has developed a way to stop both subspace tears and subspace shielding. With recent developments in Slipstream travel Feazanthian Navigational Computers, or NavCom, can detect when the quantum filaments of normal space are out of alignment, signaling either a tear from the Slipstream...or subspace. As only Feazanthian craft use Slipstream drives, all ships are equipped with transponder codes to override the subspace inhibitors. If no codes are recieved, a sort of quantum 'plug' is placed over the tear within milliseconds of its detection. At this point, one of two things will happen depending on how quickly the plug was applied. Either the tear on the other side will be closed or the ship initiating the tear will be destroyed as they collide with the plugged event horizon.

The inhibitor also works on subspace shielding by applying the same principles. The constant tear that subspace shielding creates is completely anihilated and filaments repaired by the inhibitor.

(So? Whatcha think?)
Nations drown in turmoil
As blood is set upon soil
Peace is a lost dream
My sword is a merciless reality

The enemy creeps in darkness
And dwindles my people
My enemy turns worlds to deserts
With the heat of his enmity

Crimson seas call my name
Caves of death beckon me
The worlds have been doomed
Time has set itself against us

The redemption of my era
Will be brought about by fire
For I am the messiah of my age
Forgive me for the heavens torn asunder

And brute force? What if he just forces the tear open, and goes directly up against your plug? As you are sealing the tear, he will be forcing it open, so you need to be sure you can repair faster than he can break.
(I believe this is his response applied in my question: I've been off the pc for a few days, and during a call, this came up, and that's how he said he would go about beating it.)

I'm working on a system that uses an entire ZPE reactor to fuel one of these things. It'll overpower anything he has. And the tears are all repaired in microseconds.

Not really. He apparently uses the same methods of Kanuckistan to pump in infinite energy.

He doesn't use the same method. The amount of power recieved is the same. I believe that when he used a comparison with Kanuckistans that that is what he meant. Although the variable infinite seemed to have thrown him.

Culture technology? If he starts trying to beam nano-n00x or whatever they're called into my ships, I'm just going to end this charade.

If he does it to me, I will thalaron irradiate his ass, killing every living thing in the Shiva and leaving the ship intact. Then for the hell of it I going to RP running it into a Sun.

Actually, as far as I'm aware, the culture don't explain how their power systems work, and he certainly isn't using it. The only thing he "stole" was micromissiles. And even they have been drastically altered. Culture micromissiles are actually rrather strong, very manoeuverable, and far more dangerous. And the culture drives work by pulling themselves along the grid, which he most certainly doesn't do.
