Would be interesting to see how the troops of the Dragon Throne deal with having to work with things that actually look like Dragons. How big are Sskiss fighters? Wondering how I could deploy them and from what platform.

OOC:
Finally got a mesh I feel decent enough about, so I thought I'd see what you think.

It's not complete yet, obviously, and there will be atleast one, maybe two turrets, in the obvious spots.

...and yes, that is a spinal mount.

OOC:

A spinal mount of what, dare I ask. I have a feeling that these are going to exceed my preconceptions of what is typical smallcraft-armament.

I like how its looking so far, you've certainly jammed a lot of missiles in there. Have some questions though on what I'm looking at, though. Specifically, what are the spikes protruding from the front and rear, and the gear-shaped things at the back?

It's a fighter with a bigass spinal mount - that happens to be nestled between the two 'pods' housing the conversion reactors(with free-traverse reactionless node drives on the ends of each, four total).

I haven't actually decided what to make it - probably one of my recoilless particle beams.
Skeelzania wrote: I like how its looking so far, you've certainly jammed a lot of missiles in there.
I haven't scaled it yet, but those represent my 40mm dogfighters - basicly a fixed pylon-type IDD drive wrapped around a dual-purpose Hawking reactor/conversion bomb and it's fuel system, with a few steering gyros and a CTE link to remote control them; makes small, comparatively cheap, yet powerful weapons you can pack in by the frakton. Lasing rods optional.

They're basicly amped up smart grenades, but without any of the smart, and(epicly) more bang.

The pods also take up two omni-hardpoints each(tho I'll probably delete the missiles to cut down on poly count when I next work on it; might restore for later renders).

Also, thanks - I <3 <3 <3 feedback.

The spikes are sensor thingies.

The gear things are Fiddly Bits - their function is classified, but my muse assures me they're of vital importance.

...ok, so I don't have a Muse. Temp Agency won't answer my calls any more - apparently their HMO doesn't like me.

Also, there are thusfar 6 point-lasers, extra node-drives in the wing-pods(each also has two of the point-lasers) for maneuverability, drone/decoy/etc launchers in the rear(engine-looking things), the thingy on top of each 'wing' is the "beam generator" for each gun in what will be a twin turret(because there's no space under it with that bigass spinal in the way).

Your fighter by description sounds a lot like a flying penis, Kanuck.

How so? You mean because it's well armed?
