LHCR-1 "Second Man", the first 22nd century version.

LHCR-38 "Last Man" Humanoid Combat Robot[/center]

(OOC: Yup, I got the idea for Solar Communes while designing the first one in NSD)

The LHCR-38, the 38th of an historical and solid line of robots which basic concept exists since 2140 AD, was developed to be a cost-effective replacement for organic human soldiers with superior combat performance, capable of easily being a match to even main battle tanks thanks to its convenient capability of integrating its structure with powered exoskeletons. Being a mere replacement of a conventional soldier, it lacks the edge of firepower and protection a more integrated attack unit would have, with the same being replaced by its unequaled flexibility, for it can interface with any machine, "wear" powered exoskeletons, datajack hostile computers with its suite of softwarez, operate any large or small arm and drive all types of computerized vehicles through a direct computer-computer interface.

The LHCR-38 body design was made to structurally and in weight resemble as much of a real human as possible. Its bones were created of a special type of steel alloy which can only be manufactured at 0 gravity environments, its joints are advanced actuators available capable of moving through x, y and z axis, its muscles smart fibers with a peculiar property of contracting when receiving certain electric stimuli, its veins thin tubes and wires made of superconductors which transmit heat, its heart a light Micro-fusion reactor, its eyes the cutting edge of sensor technology covered by two human like artificial eyeballs, its holographic brain an artificial neural network of quantum computing equipped with a distributed pseudo-AI capable of independent Hebbian learning, which can slowly improve and specialize it into specific skills beyond default programming and with combat programs, while its artificial skin has the same tone of a normal white human skin and also offers significant EM protection as it was designed to draw electricity and magnetism to it and away from the inner body, mitigating EMP, plus synthetic fibers resembling human hair covered the top of their heads, with a mouth that is also the receptacle for water, and finally its innovative lightweight and highly effective cooling system used water that when heated would be expelled through pores on its artificial skin which are connected to ramifications of the small tubes of its circulatory system, which can also function through air cooling alone if necessary.

Nanotechnology is employed to a major extent to increase drastically the survivability and logistical independence of the LHCR-38. A suite of integrated repair and maintenance nanites circulating through its internal systems ensure that it can easily move between different battles without the need of a larger dedicated logistics personell to attend to the same other than robots with the ammunition supplies, which cannot be said of human combatants, creating a large logistical advantage. Although it could be possible to regenerate them from a totaled status with more advanced application of nanotechnology, the inherent costs would detract from its purpose as a General Infantry cybernetic soldier, as such are reserved for more high-profile units. It still can efficiently be used to repair other humanoid combat robots, or even datajack enemy robots to allow them to switch sides. However, as a heavily modular designed, it can be upgraded to a more elite unit, and by the mere cost of $5,000,000 you'll have it with nano-holographic regeneration capability, which will allow it to eventually reconstruct from damage which would destroy HCRs without it.

Although very independent, they are unable of truly intelligent thinking and might set up less than optimal strategies with their embedded strategic-tactical modules than if they were guided by an human strategist.

With the LHCR-38, the times when you had to send messages of condolences for mothers or fathers who lost their children will be long gone! Faster, stronger and more resilient than even cybernetically-enhanced or nano-augmented humans. And you'll have a datajacker, an electronic warfare specialist, a good tactician and a super-soldier capable of putting any neuromovie action hero to shame in one single product.

"Why should we transmit this music together with the message to our customer?"

"Have you forgotten through where the message and the merchandise will travel and why we export everything at a thrice of our internal market price?"

"Don't tell me you also made blood and skulls from stem cells?"

"Don't ask."

"But won't he know it was not decapitated but made?"

"Those berzerkers screamed "Skulls for the Skull throne!", not "Decapitated Skulls for the Skull throne!" "

"You are joking me, right?"

"No, I'm bloody serious"

Your five million machines of war are going safely through CHAOS and will arrive at any moment, now KILL, MAIM and BURN, Khorne does not care for things that do not spill blood when they die, as long as they make blood of others flow.

BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!

SPAM AD: EAT KHORNE FLAKES!

PS: If your shipment doesn't arrive in 15 days, do not worry: the World Eaters will certainly arrive. Have a nice day of bloodshed.

Exactly 15 days later

A rift in reality opens near Allanean space, revealing a glimpse of the chaotic realm it temporarily linked to, from where a legion of automated spacecrafts flied bringing the shipment of five million LHCR-38 humanoid combat robots.

The 38 model picture link doesn't work.
Pyramid Facehugger would be fucking brutal. I don't know if I'll ever get to sleep with the thought of that genocidal rape behemoth rampaging through the large-eyed schoolgirls swimming in a sea of biceps that populate my subconscious.

Oh you're starving? WELL FUCK YOU THEN, HADUKEN!

Anti-leeching. Just open it in a new tab and hit Refresh. I'm a Syndicate fan and I like cyberpunk.

OOC: Wow. I was most certainly not prepared for a response like this. I'm sorry, but mine won't be near as awesome.

IC:

The Allaneans were rather surprised at this strange response, and, obviously, suspected that the robots would be infected by chaos. As such, they sent out a variety of automated craft, carrying dozens of techspiders – nonsapient multilegged bots, designed for maintenance on Bolos and spacecraft – to check out the new arrival.

As the spider-like entities walked inside the tall corridors of one of the transports, an eerie silence was everything, like if should there be any threat, it lurked in wait. The interiors were quite strange, and with the visible lack of gravity, there were several hooks and magnetic floors allowing for things to not float around. There was virtually no visible sign of what would consist into a chaos infestation, and the spacecraft showed it very clearly that it was not manned. Suddenly the dark corridors enlightened as white lights turned on with no warning. A message then announced, transmitted directly through the communications systems of the spacecraft to the Allaneans:

"If you are reading this message with no strange content, it means this shipment has successfully arrived. Khornet Shipping Services, contracted by RRS Cyberware, takes no responsibility from uncautious safety procedures. Should in any case the shipment be tainted by the natural properties of its mean of transportation, we shall provide a new shipment free of charge. As the first customer, you shall be provided a self-destruction activation key for all transport crafts assigned exclusively for your requests. The key is quantum encrypted, and stored inside an old paper book of Richard Dawkins as a safety measure, so the likelihood of Chaos tainting it is almost nil. As these tubs in vacuum are part of our limited promotion, they will not return, and are yours. Should you be interested in making sure the key works, you can test it into one of the crafts after the shipment is delivered. For payment, send a skull and half liter of blood for each million of credits, for there is no other mean to reach us other than Chaos. Although if you have more efficient ways, we will not argue, although we shall not consider the debt paid should your shipment be destroyed in its way. Thank you for supporting our economy, and don't forget: Khornet is not Chaos, nor a 20th century Russian ATGM: Khornet is order and peace"

The shipments were in perfect condition, and the darkness probably was just a way to surprise their customer in a less than conventional manner of making their name reminded.

Official Allanean Reply

Given our combat operations on Bajor, in Karain, and the other Areas of Responsibility, it shall be comparitively easy for us to provide you with 50,000 skulls, or, failing that, to purchase skulls elsewhere. Further, can you provide us with additional Last Man units, but have them externally designed to look like like Second Man units?

"What? They think we also use human skulls as currency? Wait, did you said United States of Allanea? This name sounds familiar"

"Yes, that is it?"

"Oh, according to the database they helped us, back when we were the Confederacy, in the war against the Stalinist People's Republic of Spain, three thousand nine hundred sixty-eight years ago."

"So? Should we identify ourselves by our former Earth title?"

"Sure, and maybe see if we could exchange for an equivalent value in antimatter."

"But, how exactly did it happen?"

"I dunno, guess that some bizarre split of our universe happened and putted us into isolation. That would explain why we lost contact with the Allaneans by 2059."

"So?"

"Maybe they remember, let's try."

"Now, you really study history to remember it, don't you?"

"Not really, my mind simply have good connections."

"Yes, surely it does, Google."

------------------------

A message was sent, explaining about their wrong assumptions as things would be made very clear, should their database span long enough.

"We have been isolated for a long time. Our civilization have met yours since a very long and remote time. We were eons ago known as the Confederacy of Third Spanish States, but we have evolved, endured the near collapse of civilization and extinction of mankind and now, with much sweat and blood, succeeded into our revolution to create a Earth with no rulers, tyranny or exploitation, and to expand our ideal through the stars. In honesty, many of us are still like those men with little more than bolt-action rifles fighting against fascism, but our society has changed a lot, and... we have recognized some primitive ignorances and delusions of our former industrial selves."

A small interval came as the message continued:

"We know our businesses with robots, and we started issuing them since the times their artificial intelligences could do little more than pathfinding and avoiding falling on holes and forced them to still be remote controlled to work. As for payment, nevermind the skulls or the credits. They are just to keep Chaos busy so it doesn't bother us. What we would be really interested in is not digital currency, but the equivalent worth of antimatter, safely stored of course. Regarding naked humanoid combat robots, sure we can build a transparent skin for protecting them from EMP, and they'll look slightly like the Second Men, except for the blue-colored smart fibers covering their torso as more efficient artificial muscles, and more organic-like and significantly less bulkyinternal components. We can have them red if you wish, and will be sending more as soon as we can. Thanks for your choice, and just call me Google."

"And one more thing, We'll have a psych beacon in the Chaos Realm to guide your fleet, but I advise you to use spacecrafts with reaction drives to transport the payment, because our laws of physics are not very friendly to gravitics. You could just get the spacecrafts you got as a freebie for your first purchase for that."
