Penguenian Naval Technology:
Penguenia's Navy is designed around smaller, faster, more agile capital ships, while retaining space and maximum possible armor. This is apparent in the design of the Idolater class cruiser-carrier. Its flat design allows for maximum space distribution on the inside and out. Every possible way to maximize space on this ship has been made to accommodate the large contingent of Marines, fighters, and offensive/defensive weaponry.
The Imperial Navy's doctrine in battle is to decidedly end the conflict quickly and without heavy losses. Though the ships can take quite a beating, after the shields are depleted it's only a matter of time before the ship goes down. Their true defensive capabilities lie in their speed and protective technologies. Targeting systems and ace gunners would be hard pressed to hit a Sabbat class destroyer.
The advanced Penguenian AI, Stealth, and Shielding systems are also an amazing feat in interstellar craft technology. The Penguenian Shields can absorb large amounts of concentrated energy fire, and Penguenian Cloaker Fields make Penguenian ships invisible to the eye and most sensors creating an "empty gap" in space, if you the reader can comprehend that. Penguenian torpedoes are small subatomic devices that are designed to be fired rapidly. When fired in massive amounts, the comparatively small torpedoes penetrate seams in armor plating to create structural failure. Penguenian Beam Cannons are the standard high output lasers, designed for capital ship to capital ship combat. Anti-craft lasers are just that: anti craft weaponry. These small beams are ideal for taking out small craft such as fighters and gunships, large amounts of these arms can also take out small corvette class ships. The High Output Atomic Destabilizing Flux Arc Cannons which Dreadnoughts are armed with rip atom from atom. They take a lot out of a ship's power scource, and may only be fired approximately every 30 minutes, but virtually no material can survive a shot from one.
With more than capable commanders, agile ships that can outmaneuver any else currently in existence, and crews that are loyal until death, the comparatively small ships of the Penguenian Strike Fleets are truly a force to be reckoned with.
Penguenian Military Technologies and PengAero Corporation have recently finished development of "Black Hole" torpedoes, which create, of course, a small, temporary black hole. The black hole is temporary because the energy that is required to create a full black hole is too vast to fit into a small torpedo, therefore the pseudo black hole will collapse upon itself. These torpedoes are Highly dangerous, and will only produced in limited quantities [compared to standard torpedoes] due to the expense to create them. The destructiveness of this weapon is so immense that the space where they were used is permanently distorted between real space, subspace, and hyperspace. They should be used sparingly.

How FTLi effects Penguenian Subspace:
Penguenian Subspace is a parallel realm adjacent to what we know as "real space." In this realm, time is faster therefore making travel shorter. FTLi (faster than light inhibitor) systems have no effect on this form of travel.

Mark II Penguenian Vessels, Transystem Corp
The MKII series Transystem Vessels put Penguenia yet again on the cutting edge of the interstellar arms race. The MKII series is essentially the same as the Classic series, the differences are as follows: All hulls have been redesigned, new Electromagnetic Rail Arrays have been developed for use on the larger vessels, and most notably the Sabbat class has been reduced in size and offensive weaponry; though Penguenian commanders are confident that it will outperform its predecessor.
All vessels have even greater speed and maneuverability than their predecessors. The Old Armada is being disassembled, and for every Classic vessel, two are produced. Penguenia expects all one thousand two hundred and fifty one Penguenian vessels will be updated within the next three years.
The most interesting accomplishment in this overhaul is the electromagnetic rail array, which launch high density magnetic spikes of alloy embedded with a mid sized subatomic warhead. Tests have proved these to be most deadly to capital ships.
