The Hughie Mark I, the first ship designed and built in Arizona Nova. It has been replaced by the Hughie Mark II, which is, ironically, more true to the original (and pencilled) design. We currently have about 5,000 Hughies in space-worthy condition, and 1,200 active which will be phased out as more Mark IIs roll of production lines. They are going at $750,000 USD each. Power plant is IFP (Intermediate Fusion Plant) designed specifically for this ship size and armament.
The most valuable asset of the Hughie is it's customizability. The four towers mounted on it have a modular turret technology that allows different systems to be swapped in and out. Within an hour or so, a Hughie can be converted to a fighter defense rig to a light MAC cannon slugthrower to punch out smaller capital ships, to a tactical ship with cloaking screens, and ECM suites, or even configured to be driven by minor autonomous AI systems. The price of the ships include a small package of these systems, plus a number of "blank" turrets which can be easily modified to incorporate a nation's unique technologies.

Excellent! 1,500 it is, for the price of $1,125,000,000. A bargain considering the number and quality of the gunships. Remember also, that all Hughies come with a "package" of the modular turrets, sporting anything from plasma weapons to turbolasers or cloaking devices, plus "blank" systems easily configured to weapons systems that can conceivably be mounted in a turret. That leaves, for any possible customers, about 4,697 Mark Is. All Mark Is have been phased out of active duty as well, and are available on demand, for the very low price of $750,000 per ship, which I have just found is ridiculously underpriced for the space-equivalent of an assault helicopter!
