New Sskiss Warships - attention AZ

Invaders of Sskiss occupied space will likely encounter the dreaded "Claw" class gunship. It is aptly named for it resembles a Sskiss clawed hand. This sleek deadly craft is now known to be present in large numbers within Sskiss occupied space. The recent war against the Imperiatus taught the Sskiss a few lessons in warship design, engineering and tactics. Always striving to improve their military related technologies in the face of a hostile galaxy, the Sskiss learned from the war and applied its crucial lessons to ultimately further their own power base and to secure their own territorial holdings already in their possesion. The result, is new Sskiss craft features a number of improvements over older designs.
First, gone are the old anti-matter power sources. Instead, a zero point energy generator has replaced it as well as a series of reliable micro fusion plants in a ring formation and a large number of storage batteries for emergency power use. Some things have not changed however. Their is still the massive weaponry to craft ratio of mass. This is typical, and consistent of Sskiss warship design and architecture; A massive array of condenced spinal mounted weaponry centered either within the bulk of the craft and/or set in heavily armoured pods attached to sturdy curved stalks. The metalurgic/crystalline based technologies the Sskiss are noted for have also improved. Armour has always been a Sskiss strong point and has improved still further. Sskiss armour not only heals at a more rapid rate, but it also possesses something that can only be called "adaptive memory" which in turn allows the armour to adapt to different opponents weapons that strike the craft gaining increased resistence to that specific opponents weapon. This craft is fast, agile and possesses a high power to firepower ratio, coupled with a formidable set of focused 'clustered' weaponry. In large packs there are a great threat to any opponent.
The "Claw" class gunship function is to attack enemy capital ships, usually attacking in packs of 12-24, it can also harrass enemy fighter groups by launching its drone compliment or to increase its own defence against the same. Furthermore, it is an excellent pirate hunter/killer. Short to medium ranged torpedoes round out its weapon base. It is a design that will likely see a long history.
