This is where I'll write about things I've coded or implemented, just to keep you up to date.

Fixed session bug - game now logs you out of you have retained a cookie from a deleted nation.
Coded anti-alias effects for GD library imageline function.
Coded anti-alias pseudo-ellipse from imageline function.
Coded rotated ellipse function.
Implemented new map system with transparency, layering and spline effects.
New map system has temporary graphics, will fix these eventually.
Implemented orbit representations on the system map.
Added a "population" display on mouse-hover over a planet in the system map.
Added temporary spheres of influence markets in the galaxy map.
A couple of other minor tweaks.

Detected a very dangerous bug in the sessions code. Will require a complete rewrite.

I'm rewriting significant parts of the engine, starting tonight. The beta will now be invitation only. The site design is going to change significantly. Expect several new features.

Site redesign is up.
Fixed session poisoning bug - game is now more secure.
You can now view other nation's statistics by clicking the "nation list" option and then clicking their nation name. This is temporary - eventually you will only be able to see these stats on nations you are mutually allied with, are in an alliance with, or are successfully spying upon.
Numerous backend changes.

Coming soon:

Alliance system (similar to Nationstates 2's one, athough this was planned ages ago).
A proper nation page (rather than just statistics).
Alliance message boards.
Sector message boards (a sector is a unit of the map that's 10x10 sections, meaning you can chat to your neighbours).
In-game messaging.
Flag upload!
Nation customisation.

Everyone needs to re-register again (sorry). Once you've done that, hover over your planets in your system screen. You'll see how much resources you're going to have to work with.

There's been a few delays due to my social life, but hopefully, tonight the following will go online:

In-game messaging, alliances, character creation, viewing other's characters, flag upload, a basic nation page.
