I have vacated and am building up a fleet for a counter-attack/slash offensive by ESUS forces. 'Course, I kinda need to be introduced to everyone, having just joined and all. I know names, ICly, of your nations but not the faces and ships to match them with.

On that note, anything I need to know having joined ESUS?

Note the similarity to Shivan design aesthetic. It is for this reason that I am using the calmest, most peaceful commander I have when the Neo-Mekantans throw down against the Shivans.

In essence, the ESUS Battlenet is a special totally-secured military communications network developed during the aborted GFFA war in order to allow ESUS fleets to communicate with each other over any distance without worrying about people listening in. When I was coming up with the concept, I modeled it upon the Facehuggerian battlenet, but I left Kanuckistan to fill out the details because his nation has more experience getting the unique components of the system to work on a wide variety of platforms. And because he volunteered.

Basically, for you to connect to the battlenet, you need Kanuckistan's hardware (or, if you're ultra paranoid and have a similar system, as I do, some sort of go between between your system and the Kanuckistani-made network.)

Hence why he retroactively sent it to you. ICly we'll probably assume you got it as part of your entrance package.

Just wanted to make sure you knew the Battlenet wasn't some kind of broadcast network - could have been messy if you RPed it like that and someone tried to take advantage.

Besides, CTE is stupidly simple to implement so anyone can build their own modem if hardware compatibility/security is as issue(and they have the nodes, of course), and as a user-created technology, can be defined in absolute terms, where as you run the risk of someone deciding that they can detect normal, 'open source' entanglement-based communications(what can I say? I'm paranoid ).

Okay, I've got another quick question for Mekanta (well, anyone who can give an answer will be fine). How long, or for what period of time is this war intended to go for? Are you going to simply take events as they happen and decide from there, or is there a timeframe in mind?
