GalCiv II

Okay. So. I bought GalCiv2 at Target today, came home, opened it, and amid tears of joy put it into my machine. Up pops a spiffy little "Instal, Readme" interface. I click install, and the program goes "Not responding" without even attempting an install.

WHAT DA FUCK?

I have almost enough RAM. o.O I mean, I've allocated other empty files to act as RAM. So I should have more than enough space.

But everything else is hunky dory.

Am in contact with Stardock via e-mail.

I have the sinking feeling that my processor isn't as strong as it needs to be. :/ But still! Installation startup should at least begin, right?

What kind of processor do you have? I mean, this isn't a particularly hardware intensive game.

Exactally, that's why I'm confused. It has an Intel Celeron D 330 2.66 GHz processor. I don't know if that would work or not. .-.

Well, I have a Pentium4 2.5ghz with half a gig of RAM, and it runs fine.

I have a Pentium 4 1.7GHz with only 512 mb of ram and it runs perfectly fine.

Downloaded it from SDC, it must have been a bad disk.

Anyway, updated my drivers, and for some reason whenever I play a custom game, it freezes up, but will let me play campaign. Bah. I dont care. .-.
