No, EVE is a MMO space shooter. WoW is an MMORPG. One requires 1337 p1l0ting skillz. The other requires timing and planning. Hmph. Good on you all then; I didn't get high-speed until I went to college, so WoW is pretty much the first MMO that it would have been possible for me to play anyway.
Probably going to have to stop by the games shop in Florence later today anyway to trade in tBC for the original WoW; I'd bought it under the impression that it would come with time, and it didn't, and I'm not going to fork over extra for it in addition to consuming precious time and bandwidth dling the install for the main game. I probably couldn't even hit level 60 by the time I go back to the States as is, considering all the other things I'll be doing to keep myself busy.
