And Kanuckistan's land forces consist of ~300'000 Regular Army/Marines, plus 9-10 Billion Militia(self-defence only) of widely varying quality(tho culture and tax credits are used to encourage better training and equipment, to good effect). Cultural aspects(along with the verified afterlife of their religion, and later teleoperated avatars) having had the questionable side-effect of spawning the Kanuckistani Adventurers' Guild.

Nation-wise, I tend to consider most ESUS-level powers fairly equal. In-character wise, we consider alliances as the basis of power, not nations. Some nations, such as... well, everyone here, have the power to operate alone, even in major multi-enemy wars, but most do not.

Our scale of power operates thusly.

ESUS-GE-Republic-GFFA. Individually, though, we have an immense amount of (healthy) respect for the Kanuckistani Navy, considering it was instrumental in winning the First Shivan War, as well as the Central Facehuggerians. Like all rightthinking people, we gibber in our beds at the thought of Mekantans, and, of course, we respect the ground warfare of the Sskiss. Among our allies, we tend to look more at their specific bests rather than what they can do overall. And, of course, general recognition never hurts. The more widely something or someone is feared, the more likely it is we'll pick up on that attitude.

I didn't know enough about Mekanta either, but I really wanted to include the tentacle fiend. After all, he was the second, and probably best RPer I've ever interacted with.
