Has there really been anything to do on the fleet side of things since the landings started? I mean, I guess that I could show some of the fun that the ion cannon + giant friggin' railgun combo is having, and maybe a few small set-ups and planning for future scenarios that might show up later in the battle, but aside from that?
This won't end well.

Both are still going on, it's just that I prefer (and am better at) writing ground action and so tend to switch completely as opposed to mixing the two. Obviously the fleet battle is still going on.

The fleet battle is about to get scary.

Fleet battle: scary. Remember that torpedo from the Siege of New Constantinople?

Crap. I was afraid that those'd show up. This might be a good excuse for me to pull a plot event that I was wanting to do to my fleet... but I don't know. How would everyone react to an accidental departure of my force's big ships?

It sounds like that torpedo barrage is ripe for manly sacrifices.

"Ram the torpedoes! Save the fleet! Yarr!"
"Please tell me that you haven't heard military gossip about a fleet of invisible battleplates."
