I actually made up all those classifications based on what the Facehuggerian government does. :P

Type I races would be freakishly powerful races capable of eradicating humanity in its totality, and wanting to eradicate humanity in its totality. A good example of a Type I race would be the Xeelee if they actually noticed humanity and decided to kill them. Or an evil Culture.

A Type II race consists entirely of Menelmacari/Noldorin elves and their robot skeleton slaves.

A type III race is any race which has a high likelyhood of turning into a threat to humanity at some point in the future, but who presently is not a threat.

A type IV race is any race which is a threat to human interests right now.

A type V race is humans who consort with aliens and put the alien agenda over humanity's own.

Type VI races are assorted alien allies of the Facehuggerian government.

Type VII races are human races which are deemed redeemable.

Type VIII races are exceptions to the extermination list for being more useful alive than dead.
