Ok, so y'all have 48 hours to make some suggestions for games I should get, I got my huge-ass final paycheck, which is my first two paychecks which they held, and my last one combined. And I'm out to buy some computer equipment. My new computer will be here in 2 weeks, it was kinda delayed because of some issues HP is having with their factory.

I need games. I'm looking at the following, but I'd love some suggestions.


STALKER: Shadow Of Chernobyl
Supreme Commander
Overlord (For kicks)
Battlefield 2142


Anything else?

Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends is pretty good, and if you're heavy on RTS, Rome: Total War, Rome: Total war Barbarian Invasion, Rome: Total War, Alexanders Reign, Medieval II: Total War

Starcraft II.

Not only did I Alpha AND Beta Test Rise of Legends, but I got a free version of the full for my services rendered.

I already own Rome Total War w/ Barbarian Invasion and Midieval II: Total War.


How is Alexander's Reign? Never even heard of it.


And yeah, of course SCII, but thats next year, I need between now and friday.

Alexanders Reign can either be bought in the RTW gold edition pack, or paid for and downloaded/shipped from Amazon. It's good if you like phalanxes. And I really really like phalanxes. Just look at Trailers military.

EDIT: Alexander hasnt been released in the US apparently..

WoW-EU. You don't even technically have to buy the disks - you can DL the client for free. All you have to have is a credit card (for game-time) or some channel through which to acquire game-cards.

Lets just hope you didn't get Vista on this bad boy of yours or you'll get the shaft for anything remotely out of the mainstream and more than two years old.

As for Vista, we have Infinite business Ultimate Licenses from my moms work, so I get the non-lobotomized version. It should work fine with most things. If Not I'll duel boot XP on it.

I was thinking perhaps LOTR Online, or perhaps I'll just go to Final Fantasy XI since I'm a FF Nerd.

And yeah, BFME II was on my list but everyone grouched about how bad it was so I took it off.

LOTR online is going to tank like a motherfucker. I guarentee it.
