As CF said, yes, Schlock was an inspiration, although in practice there is only a very passing similarity(size, general shape, name, and that it has gravitic weapons, although my gravyguns are somewhat different, and offer far less control and little range).

Well, I did once build a gun that launched Iowa-class battleships.

Bought 250 Iowas from an MTer for ammo, too. Complete with with gold-plated toilets.




Now you know where all that 'government waste' goes.

The titanic amount of money blown on gold toilets, absurd ammo, and a starship built around a giant gun designed to fire Iowa-class battleships at the enemy at relativistic speeds, via revolver-type feed mechanism(yes, a giant space-revolver that fired battleships) - the whole thing was a joke about the absurd sums of money large NS nations are pegged as wasting.

I mean, according to NSEconomy, I waste 21.9 trillion USD per year.

And now you know where (some of)it goes.

And yes, I do intend for it to show up in a combat RP some day - probably in the hands of some KAG'er.
