Hah! I've already transformed my empire into a mutually-beneficial league of nations, coincidentally headed by Cypria. Travellian Empire got boring for the same reason everything does - I realised there was no genocide in it.

Also, having seen this, I now realise why you've gone and got Xiscapia to pay tribute. It's a good idea, though, provided you carry it out in the same manner I've done (arrogance time, put on your goggles), in that you serve more as a.. sponsor, or a supporter of their empire. Technically speaking, of course, you're dominant, being bigger, but the idea's more to get involved with the people we don't actually get involved with, except in our routine "lol guys let's go hunt down some newbies with dogs" event.

I mean, in all seriousness, half the intros these days are being taken by people who are worse than we were in '03. If we want to improve the general quality of RP around the place, it's good to lead by example.

"Modern" RL imperialism is more a war of economic pressure, with guns only coming at as a last ditch option. I want to begin an imperialistic stage with the same ideals, and of course with willing and com-pliant participants. I figured reaping tribute would be a good start.
