I'm once again considering making an ESUS mod
Specifically, with the Half Life 2 engine, Source. I'd probably make it multiplayer (but poossibly with a plot too, a sort of co-op story). I'd like some suggestions on what to include for the first version. Keep it simple. If this takes off it'll be an iterative process taking a long time, building in small steps.
I'm wondering the following:
How many of you have Half Life 2?
How many have Episode 1?
How many have the full Orange Box?
How many of you are able to program using C++?
How many of you are able to design maps using Valve's Hammer editor?
How many of you would be willing to work on map concepts (not neccessarily design them in the editor, but on paper)?
How many are able to create high-resolution, original textures?
How many of you are able to write a plot that interweaves several ESUS member's nations, yet keep it simple enough to cover one or two multiplayer maps?
How many of you are able to create original music?
How many of you are able to create models (or are willing to learn) using XSI's free modelling tool?
How many would be willing to do voice acting (if neccessary, but probably not in the first few versions)?

I'm willing to make 3D models and voice-act, possibly also the music.

I do not have HL patr too on the new laptop, but it is procurable, along with the entire Orange Box. I WOULD be willing to assist in the plot making, and I WOULD be interested in learning to use the free modding tool.

Re: I'm once again considering making an ESUS mod
I have the Orange Box, but Steam doesn't like my ISP's required software, so I can't install anything(and my "good" vid card is busted, so I couldn't run it anyway - prolly switch ISP's once I get a new PC).
I also have Maya, and some amateurish experience therewith - what's XSI, and how big is it? Dialup, remember - downloading one ep of a TV show off bittorrent takes most of a week.
And I could take a shot at voice acting, if I can dig up a decent mic.
And, of course, I'm always avalible for ideas.

I'm not sure how big XSI is. There might be a plugin for maya, I'll take a look, though I think it's kinda required to use XSI which sucks.
I can do textures, coding, mapping, plot and possibly music.

I can compose music quite well. Other than that I'm useless.
