I'll be cleaning up the top of the page, at the moment it's a huge mass of links. I'll also be fixing IE compatibility - at the moment the toggle FT news thing is stuck open in it. How would you lot feel about eliminating the huge logo and making the site less top heavy? There'd still be a logo, it'd just be much smaller and take up much less space.

I suggest to make the logo as small as possible without obscuring its details, as in making the tiniest stars in the symbol become 1px:1px but still visible, with perhaps some changes in their proportion with the rest of the logo so it could be reduced further compared to what a direct resize would achieve without making them "vanish".
