Post by Allanea »

What naitons here are good - in the sense in which Kanuckistan and Allanea are good, of going abroad to stop genocides and stuff?

Well we don't go abroad but we certainly start ruining people who interfere with species in our own aegis and promote the ideal of sapient rights.

In theory the new Facehuggerian Imperium is "good." They just don't let themselves be drawn into unnecessary wars over their goodness.

I'm good, if you're on my good side.

Depends upon this:

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/M ... sANonHuman

For humans, a paragon of goodness, paladins of the causes of freedom and of the oppressed underclasses of the proletariat, forward the revolution! Liberté, Socialisme et Anarchie! Vive la France!

For almost-human like because some fiction writers lacked creativity to make something truly alien, it's getting better than it once was. They are now exporting their revolution to them as well, carefully and cautiously though.

For the rest, as long as this rest does not mess with Solar Communes, it should be OK, as they no longer deal with Xenos preemptively("kill them first before they inevitably try to kill us"), but if any of this rest tries to invade and destroy Solarians and their planets, the species such attackers belong to will be on schedule for another Exussum.

My nation despises genocide, and in fact we pride ourselves on being moral good guy bastards with a slight gray singe about us. We generally don't wish to play LOL GALAXY police and end up like core worlds though.

The Ta'Nar do the "right" thing but that is only in their point of view. They generally consider themselves above the petty moralities of the Meatbags. No matter how many you kill, there are going to be more so you cannot genocide them, the species will live on to the best of attempts.

Hell, if you do not have Psionics, you are not even considered sentient by most Ta'Nar standards, there is no spot for those primitive beings in the Mind Classification Standards the Ta'nar use. There are a few exceptions we have made and those are for those we consider allies.

Of course, making the children believe they are important is a fine way to trick them into doing what we wish and will continue to work on the meatbags.

Back to the question, are we good? In our subjective point of view we are Damn Great.

I hope that answers you.

How did Coreworlds "end up"? This is relevant to my interests.

I think my nation is fairly good; we are tough on pirates and relentless in war but we do not sink low to such depravities as Mekanta and others have done.

As for CW, he has ended up going from a nation of dozens of worlds and a powerful navy to a nation of four to six worlds, with only one or two unoccupied, a military scattered and damaged, and his government nearly wiped out by corruption and death and having to reform. He's a nation who is one war away from extinction.
Pyramid Facehugger would be fucking brutal. I don't know if I'll ever get to sleep with the thought of that genocidal rape behemoth rampaging through the large-eyed schoolgirls swimming in a sea of biceps that populate my subconscious.
