You can argue metagaming on any alliance that is mostly made by "LOL I POST HEAR TO SIGN UP" instead of diplomatic RPing prior to its establishment. That's not how realistic alliances are made. The only time I ever did some sort of realistic alliance with RPing in it was with Poland and Arizona Nova, and Third Spanish States with Vault 10.

mass meetings get tedious, when you have to meet with everyone, its easier for people to sign up with a public IC message. That being said today's alliances ooc = IC no matter what.
