GAH! FINALLY... I keep seeing all these DoGa renders that look horrendously horrible with their lighting... so I downloaded it, determined to figure out how to adjust the lighting to my tastes.
Obviously this is not a well-lit rendering, but it is WELL SHADED.... As in, things in shadow are actually *shock* UNLIT! This is STRAIGHT out of DoGa, no photoshopping.
it took a little fidgeting and a lot of ignoring bad translating, but I finally figured out how to get *gasp* SHADING on DoGa files!
Go to texture control, then hit the custom tab or whatever it's called, and turn DIFFUSE down much lower... then you'll actually have DECENT PICTURES!
YES! IT IS POSSIBLE!

On my Doga-Resource web site I posted the L2 help files. They should be enough to help someone understand the basics and then go on from there. It is in the Library section, obviously. If someone wants some of their stuff posted in the Gallery let me know.
