It's the girls-on-the-interweb phenonemon. The attraction is explained by the fact that subconsciously, you realize that any girl who hangs out on sites like this would probably share similar interests to yours, and probably be more compatible with you than some random chick on the street. Though exceptions to this do exist, as seen with Arenumberg.
Or I could be completely off the mark. Maybe it's time to go back to that silver dildo/bottle opener avatar.
