Yep, it's a counterpart to the Cool Ship thread. What weapons do you have that are more awesome than most of their contemporaries?

Mine:

Sidearm: X-683 Assault Pistol
The X-683 is an automatic maser assault weapon built into a silver fixed-malloy body designed around the aesthetics of the Beretta 92 pistol: specifically, the iteration thereof pioneered by the First Digitals of the Echo Boom and their successors the New Silent Generation some years prior to the Culture Wars, based on designs by the armstects of the Boomerang Generation. The 683 accommodates a battery keyed to fire thirty shots at optimal setting, and fires single-shot, three-round burst or fully automatic; the weapon can be reloaded by racking the 'slide' and inserting a new battery at the fore, above the barrel.

The 683 is widely regarded as a deluxe pistol, given its near-silence, numerous emergency features (i.e., duress grip-trigger function), internal computer and smartlink, and multimode gas-eject recoil system. It can also be built into a carbine by pressing the appropriate components against it in the appropriate locations, thanks to its fixed-malloy construction.

Specialty arm: New Berlin Model 3000 Block One-Half 'Matheson Special'
The NB Mod 3000-0.5 impactor is a ten-round semi-automatic variable-calibre multivector rifle currently issued by C-GroFor and C-NavMar to heavy weapons specialists, in the interests of causing as much destruction as possible. It is rated to fire anything from the one-hundred-six-calibre Kolibri Nyserie rounds at just over forty-five per second to nine-hundred-fifty-calibre Omfattande-Skador rounds at about one every five seconds through accelerated sphincter action (don't dig into the details). C-GroFor ammunition issue is tipped with plasma-storm explosives by default, while C-NavMar ammunition is tipped with nanogram- (for Kolibri Nyserie) to microgram-scale (for Omfattande-Skador) antimatter charges.

Of course, the disadvantage is that you need a third arm installed just to hold the bloody thing, and don't even get me started on the fact that in several countries this is classified as a portable weapon of mass destruction. Oh, and that even contemplating the more general points of its design should be a crime against humanity. By the by, the design is named after Private Benjamin Matheson, notorious wielder of the prototype, who fell in battle during an as-yet-classified combat instance on Hmar Ha Long in 2992 under the leadership of Ensign Ryana Taylor.

On the upside, aiming is unneccessary. Simply dial up one of the larger ammunition calibres and aim within forty-five degrees of your target, because hey, they're going to die anyway.

Line arm: R/X-683 Battle Rifle
This is the X-683 with a lengthened barrel, sixty-shot underbarrel detachable semi-banana box battery, underbarrel laser rangefinder, five-times-magnification telescopic sight and removable ash-wood chamber cover. The aesthetic, the 'look' as it were, is inspired by the venerable GI-generation Avtomat Kalashnikova series, which prevailed through the Culture Wars of the New Silent Generation and beyond. Unlike the C/X-683 Carbine, the R/X does not support the removal of extraneous components to regain the use of the pistol variant, as the R/X variant of the X-683 is not built of malloy; rather, the R/X is, in the main, built of manufactured silicon with carbon nanotube reinforcement, given that malloy is expensive and is more focused towards adaptability than strength and endurance.

The R/X also supports rifle cans - underbarrel attachments, typically maser-based and employed for explosive combat and demolition. The cans can be removed and fired on their own through the judicious inclusion of a detonator button, although it is recommended that a can-only operator should leave ten to fifteen seconds between shots and at all times wear gloves.

Marksarm: LR/X-700 Longshot DMG
Man-portable rail gun firing fifty-gram slug five-millimetre-diameter slug at ten-megajoule energy rating. Long barrel is very, very long indeed, and good recoil shielding is very, very good indeed. Standard operating procedure is to always go for the headshot, since this gun can pretty much pull it off all the time every time.

Five slugs per detachable underbarrel rectangular box magazine. Bipod can be folded up and stored parallel to the barrel. Scope goes up to magnification by twenty times. Compact computing system allows operator to link up local sensor and arrange for gun to fire at selected local 3D-space coordinates at selected time, thus eliminating operator presence requirement for long assignments; integrated sensors will adjust vector as needed over specified time period. Optimal use of autoshot system requires quad-pod for independent movement of gun by internal systems.

[Solar Communes]

Golden Glox: Gold is a cheap but decent conductor for a coil pistol. It might not be as effective as other materials, but it has more blingz for sure, allows for very high muzzle velocities and enough residue electricity to power a high-resistance nano-sound system with a pre-recorded version of the Millenial "Batman on Drugs" SFX which plays with infinite loop in an ever-increasing cacophony every time a shot is fired, unless the user commands it to stop playing such SFX. Favorite weapon of the Patriotic Nigras. Its name is different to avoid confusion with the "Golden Glocks" blingz nizzle hole gun. It doesn't have a standardized caliber, for every version is built individually. Only the base concept remains alike.

With a kick that (if unsuppressed) roughly equals being hit by an eighteen wheeler at highway speeds, the M35 Gauss Rifle is essentially an anti-vehicle quenchgun in an infantry-portable frame, firing a 20mm slug at inanely high velocities. Powered by its very own conversion plant (which can double as a small nuke!), the M35 is only fireable due to the inclusion of a miniaturized inertial compensation system, absorbing enough of the brutal recoil to merely result in bruising when used by unarmored humans.
