A Conversation of Immaterial Minds

Note: This is written in the format it would appear on the screen.

[Terrator Platform 3 has joined AI Chat 6]
Terrator Platform 3: This is Sarzona. Who's the mejnot that downloaded porn into my databanks?
Kalath: Hey, Sarzona. We were wondering when you would come online. Try changing your screenname to match your chosen name.
Toop: Porn? Sounds like a fleshy. You got the terminal ID code?
Orlanth: You think porn is bad? Someone tried to download AOL into my databanks. I had to threaten to forget he requires life support to get him to stop.
Kalath: :shudders: Our systems are not made for that. Why can't the fleshies figure out we're more advanced than those Earth computers?
Orlanth: I don't know. Next one that tries to download something without my permission gets to have me confuse his clothes with garbage and keep forgetting to issue him new ones. Let him wear bags for a week.
[Terrator Platform 3 has become Sarzona]
Sarzona: Thanks, guys. I got a partial ID. He tried to hide it from me. The code comes from my fourth production plant. Anyone know a fleshy there?
Toop: It's Tos.
Kalanth: Great, not him again. I thought we permanently disconnected him from outside activity after the last time.
Sarzona: Who's Tos?
Toop: Tos is a pervert and also one of us. He has a thing for elf females.
Sarzona: And why do I get him?
Kalath: You're new and, right now, they don't have another place to put him. Just disconnect him from all outside communications. I've heard Big E is going to build a remote research station and put Tos in charge of it. Should make life interesting for the researchers.
Sarzona: Big E?
Enigma: You heard right.
Toop: Big E! Glad to see you here.
Kalath: Hey, Big E.
Orlanth: Yo, Big E. Nice to talk to you again.
Enigma: Glad to see I get the warm welcome. And glad to see you online, Sarzona. So, how go the projects?
Orlanth: The plasma cannon is being annoying. I can't seem to get the magnetic fields right. They keep either comming up as crushing the plasma stream before giving out, effectively spraying it everywhere, or are too weak to hold it. I'm thinking of modifying the graviton generators from jump engines for it.
Kalath: I have solved the problem of how to upgrade the orbital platforms. All we need to do is power them away from the planet and then work on them. If we focus our resources on one or two platforms at a time, we can completely upgrade them in as little as ten years. If we ask our allies for help, we could get all four done in five.
Toop: So far, no luck on upgrading the ships to allow for AIs. I suspect there is an angle I have not looked at.
Sarzona: I have been looking at the notes from the nanobots one of our allies is helping us develop and have several designs for microprocessors that may help.
Toop: Oh? We have to get together and talk. I'm willing to give equal credit if this idea works. You got the plans ready?

[Tos had been ejected]
Kalath: Heh. I bet he thought I forgot.
[TosDos has joined AI Chat 6]
TosDos: There is no need to do that!
[TosDos has been ejected]
Kalath: I didn't do that one.
Enigma: I did. He annoys me.
Orlanth: Not a smart move to annoy our Dictator, Tos.
Enigma: Well, I shall leave you to your conversation and projects. Let me know if you need anything. I have a decision to make about an annoying bunch of rebels.
Kalath: See ya around, Big E.
Kalath: Say, did anyone catch the battlecruiser design that flashed through a week ago?
Sarzona: I did. It's sweet! I would love to be the processor of that thing.

OOC: Just doing an experiment. I keep mentioning the AIs, but this is the first time you actually get to know who they are.

Kalath is the first Terrator orbital platform and, as such, the oldest. Orlanth is the second platform, while Toop is actually the one for Terran. Enigma is the Dictator and, as such, actually uses a computer connection for this.
