From the Reaches of Space, The Emperor will Return

Post by Metallinauts »

It has been 400 years after the passing of the true emperor. In the time since the Larius line has taken a seat of power, things have declined. The first Larius, a man by the name of Zelentine was a good and just man; his decendants were not. In the time of Maxwell and Zelentine every Metallinautsi citizen was honored, they were equal with their lords and Emeror in their rights. This golden era was silenced, and Zelentines' children ushured in an era of hate, oppression and poverty...

Klanstine City -8:00 Hours until incident

The Klanstine system after being proven vulnerable to attack in the ESUS Civil War had become the central hub for many military activities including fleet movements, troop stations and project; includings ones of questionable nature.

The city of Klanstine on Klanstine III was a sprawling complx of buildings. The entire planets save for a mere 800 square meters was all industrial or metropolitan. The air was dense with hover traffic frittering to and fro. One particular vehicle was a black freighter. In layman's terms this vehicle would be concidered a "rust bucket", a transport that was barely able to stay in the sky. Yet looks can be very decieving.

If one were to scan this vehicle with advanced sensor relays they would not detect the true vehicle. The ugly facade was false. A ruse to draw attention away from itself. The vessel was actually a top secret military transport craft. Within its cargo holds lay quite possibly the most deadly organic weapon ever concieved, much less brought to fruition.

Inside the cockpit to men in full pilot outfits were recieving their orders.

You are to dock with the Jackal and there is where you will deposit your cargo.

"Roger that Shadow Base" said William Olson

"What exactly are we carrying back there" inquired Williams' co-pilot Carl Jenkins. He turned around and peered into the expansive back. His eyes fell upon an obsidian looking cylinder that rested vertically. There were no pannels, no seems. Nothing about this case would indicate to Carl that their cargo was nothing more than a 4 meter high obsidian cylinder.

The craft pulled ninety degrees skyward. The pilots inside did not even flinch at the extreme force exerted on their bodies
