...It just occued to me that my dragons grow to be large enough that I could probably give them "grenade" launchers capable of handling Kanuckistani planet crackers.

Knowing you, Kanuck, those grenade launchers still only need to be the size of the Noisy Cricket from Men in Black. The only reason you'd need dragons to wield them would be to handle the weapon's recoil without getting mortally wounded from firing the damned things.Kanuckistan wrote:...It just occued to me that my dragons grow to be large enough that I could probably give them "grenade" launchers capable of handling Kanuckistani planet crackers.
This won't end well.

Unfortunately, even with pure neutronium, direct matter to energy conversion still has limits. The Cerberus Alliance wrote: Knowing you, Kanuck, those grenade launchers still only need to be the size of the Noisy Cricket from Men in Black. *google/wiki/math*
A quick calc says you'd need a chunk of neutronium ~10x10x65cm to fuel a conversion bomb capable of overcoming the Earth's gravitational binding energy(~2.24e+32J), with a neutronium density of 400'000'000'000'000'000 kilograms per cubic meter.
<---(need better sad smilie)
Of course, Kanuckistani planet crackers are mining tools designed to shatter moons, planetoids, and small worlds, so most aren't quite that big.

Feh, I don't know about you Kanuck, but when I wanna take out a planet, I fire away more than one planetcracker.

Guide our souls to the Elysium Fields
Bear us home upon our shields
Lay coins across our brows and sound the bells
We're paying our fare on the river to Hell
And when our sons and mothers lay us upon the funeral pyre
Tell them we died Hellenic soldiers with our faces to the fire

If all else fails, carpet-bomb with planet-crackers.
This won't end well.

If you're going to take out a planet rather than capture it, just go for broke and blow up the sun. It's whats in my strategic manual.Trailers wrote:Feh, I don't know about you Kanuck, but when I wanna take out a planet, I fire away more than one planetcracker.
Er, I mean, the Sornei would never do something so barbaric*!

Novae tend to seriously fuck up the stellar neighbourhood, however.
You're effectively committing an act of war against everyone within, atleast, several dozen lightyears.
